GUWAHATI/PALASBARI: In a major breakthrough, acting on a tip-off, Kamrup and city police in association with Meghalaya police arrested two women with two kilograms of brown sugar and around 1 lakh WY tablets from Maighuli in Meghalaya on Saturday.

The operation was conducted acting on a tip-off from the Palasbari Police Station. During the operation, Rs 3.7 lakh was also recovered from the duo's possession.

The value of the seized drugs is Rs 3.50 crore.

It is to be noted that the identity of the accused has not yet been disclosed. In this regard, a case (379/21) has been registered in the Palasbari Police Station.
