Dibrugarh Police held 3, Brown sugar seized

DIBRUGARH: The raid against the drugs and other narcotic substances by Dibrugarh Police team led by Superintendent of Police, Sweetank Mishra has resulted in recovery of a large quantity of heroin, and other psychotropic drugs, illicit liquor, IMFL and cannabis from various parts of the district. Similar raid was also conducted in the Kalibari areas, near New Market area on Thursday night and drug peddler Elahi Sheikh's close associate Abdul Karim alias Babu and two other women conduits were arrested. Around 600 gm brown sugar worth more than Rs 50 lakh, cash Rs 63,000 and gold ornaments were seized. All the arrested persons were produced before the court on Friday and sent to judicial custody.
