Drunken group creates a ruckus in Hatigaon area of Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A drunken woman and her friends created a ruckus outside the Rajdhani Masjid in the Hatigaon area of Guwahati on the Sunday night after ramming their vehicle into another vehicle parked near the mosque.

The woman reportedly abused officers of the traffic police and even assaulted the officials. The altercation went on for over an hour as the woman and her friends refused heed the police.

The inebriated group also misbehaved with media persons who arrived at the scene.

They were later detained by the Hatigaon police and handed over to the Dispur police for questioning.
