Four Arrested for Forged HSLC Certificates by Chandmari Police

GUWAHATI: The principal of Kamrup Academy High School lodged an FIR at Chandmari police station after four female students of his school were discovered with fake Matric certificates. The four accused had allegedly made fake documents to take admission into the higher secondary level. When their certificates were sent for verification to the council, they were discovered. The four accused were detained on and upon interrogation, they admitted to the fraud. Three of them were underage and were sent to the Juvenile Home while one was taken into police custody on Friday. A case (1274/19 U/S 406/420/468 IPC) has been registered against them
