Guwahati: Arrests Made in Separate Assault Cases in Udalbakra and Dispur

Guwahati: In two separate incidents reported from the city, two individuals have been arrested for allegedly attacking civilians under different circumstances. In the first incident, a man identified as Shivam Pradhan allegedly attacked Rajan Chetry and his wife near Beltoli Lakshmi Mandir in Udalbakra. According to the police, Shivam was in an intoxicated state during the attack. He was promptly arrested by Udalbakra Police and further investigation is underway. Meanwhile, in another unrelated case, Dispur Police arrested one Baharul Islam for allegedly assaulting a girl at her rented residence. The motive behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
