Guwahati: Basistha police arrest 2 snatchers, 1 thief in city

GUWAHATI: Basistha Police cracked a snatching case that took place on June 9 in the Beltola area. The police arrested two snatchers, Kundan Kumar (26) and Ennos Ali (24), from the Biribari and Ulubari areas, respectively. Based on the confessional statement of the duo, the police arrested the receiver of the snatched items – a mobile phone and some clothes – named Papu Biswas (24) from the Rehabari area. The Basistha also arrested a youth named Saddam Hussain (19) of Barpeta Road while stealing electric wire today.
