Guwahati: City police arrested thieves with stolen items

Guwahati: In two separate operations, the city police apprehended two individuals in connection with recent theft cases, recovering stolen items from their possession. Acting on credible inputs, an EGPD team from Basistha Police Station arrested 21-year-old Bikash Boro of Sonkuchi from the Beharbari area. A stolen Oppo mobile phone was recovered from him. Legal action has been initiated.

In a similar crackdown, a CGPD team from Noonmati Police Station nabbed Md Sainur Islam (27) of Fakirganj near Forest Gate. He was caught with a stolen battery that he had allegedly taken from an auto-rickshaw (AS01JC3287) parked near Shastri Nagar. Police have initiated legal proceedings in the matter.
