Guwahati: City police seize drugs worth crores of rupees

GUWAHATI: In a major crackdown on drug trafficking, Basistha Police seized a large quantity of heroin from a six-wheeler truck on National Highway 27 at Lalmati. The truck, bearing registration number AS 01 LC 1253, was intercepted by the police during a routine check, leading to the recovery of approximately 295.5 grams of heroin. Two individuals have been arrested in connection with the incident. The accused have been identified as Sanowar Hussain (35), a resident of Boragaon, and Rabiul Miyan (24), from Patorkuchi.
