Guwahati: The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has launched an intensive dewatering operation at Tetelia, Gotanagar, Binoy Kumar Tamuli Path, and adjoining bylanes to clear persistent waterlogging caused by heavy rainfall.
According to GMC officials, the move is aimed at restoring smooth traffic flow and ensuring the safety of pedestrians. Continuous monitoring of the affected areas is being carried out to maintain efficient drainage and reduce inconvenience to residents.
The civic body reaffirmed its commitment to taking swift and effective measures to combat urban flooding during the ongoing monsoon season.
