Guwahati: State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Dilip Saikia on Thursday announced the names of the newly appointed office-bearers of the Assam state committee of the party.

Addressing a press conference at the State BJP headquarters, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Bhawan, Saikia revealed a list of 32 members appointed to key roles in the committee.

Among the new appointees, ten have been named as vice presidents. They are Pulak Gohain, Parimal Suklabaidya, Topon Kumar Gogoi, Rekharani Das Boro, Aparajita Bhuyan, Moon Swarnakar, Ashok Bhattarai, Dr. Juri Sharma Bordoloi, Manoj Baruah, and Ratna Singh.

The four general secretaries are Diplu Ranjan Sarma, Pallab Lochan Das, Rituparna Barua, and Anup Barman.

Ten individuals have been appointed as secretaries. They are Lakhya Konwar, Lakshinath Tacha, Bismita Gogoi, Monalisha Koch, Abhijit Kumar Nath, Ratul Sharma, Mahesh Deori, Siddhanku Ankur Barua, Nabarun Burhagohain, and Bitupan Doley.

Rajkumar Sharma has been appointed as treasurer, while Narayan Deka will serve as joint treasurer.

Other key appointments include Sushanta Biswas as office secretary, Biswajit Khaound as social media in-charge, Mriganka Talukdar as IT in-charge, Kishore Upadhyay as chief spokesperson, Rupam Goswami as media convenor, and Anirban Goswami as office in-charge.

Speaking on the occasion, Saikia stated that individuals with diverse experience and expertise have been entrusted with crucial responsibilities. He emphasized the party’s commitment to ensuring geographical representation across Assam and the inclusion of various ethnic communities.

He further added that within the next 10 days, the party will announce the names of the presidents for eight party morchas.
