GUWAHATI: The Directorate of Handloom and Textiles celebrated Tator Bihu on the fourth day of the Rongali Bihu at its Research and Designing Centre at Ambari in the city today.
Inaugurating the celebration, Handloom and Textiles Director Parag Moni Mahanta appealed to all to buy and use handloom products woven by the local weavers of the state.
Head of Department, Handloom Research and Designing Centre, Dr Jayanta Dev Sarma, explained what Tator Bihu exactly is. As many as nine weavers were felicitated by the directorate at the celebrations.
