Guwahati: Dispute over dog turns violent, 3 youths injured

GUWAHATI: A shocking incident of violence unfolded in Guwahati on Monday, leaving three youths injured and a community in shock. The altercation, which took place at Lokhra's Haricharan Das Path, was allegedly sparked by a disagreement over a dog. According to eyewitnesses, the assailant, identified as Rijit Basumatary, launched a vicious attack on the three victims, Rishi, Hirak Nath, and Dhon, using a sharp-edged weapon. The attack left all three youths injured, with some reports suggesting that their injuries were severe.

The incident is believed to have been triggered by a heated argument between the parties involved, which escalated into violence. While the exact circumstances surrounding the dispute are still unclear, it is evident that the situation spiralled out of control, resulting in the unfortunate attack.

Following the incident, a team from the Basistha police station rushed to the scene to investigate the matter.
