Guwahati: Drug peddlers arrested with heroin in city

GUWAHATI: Acting on intelligence input, a team from Dispur PS apprehended three peddlers at Khanka Road after pursuing them from Dakhingaon. The arrested individuals have been identified as Samad Ali, Musful Begum, and Salma Sultana. Police seized 11 vials of heroin (14.67 g), an Alto K-10 (AS01SC3931) car, an NS-16 bike, two mobile handsets, and Rs 1,100 in cash. Legal action has been initiated against the accused.

In another incident, a team from Panbazaar PS and Fancy Bazaar OP raided 3 No Railway Gate, Ushamati, Fancy Bazaar, and arrested Amir Hamja (30) of Barpeta. Police seized five vials of heroin weighing 6.60 grams. Legal action initiated.
