Guwahati: Father-son duo arrested for involvement in drug peddling

GUWAHATI: A team from Basistha PS arrested father-son duo Barek Ali (72) and Rafique Ali (32) from Sipajhar for their involvement in drug peddling. The duo was apprehended after a raid at a hideout in Jayanagar, leading to the recovery of a significant quantity of heroin and mobile phones. The police seized two soap boxes of heroin, weighing 24.35 grams, and three mobile phones from the hideout.
