Guwahati: GMC sealed three business establishments in city

Guwahati: In a crackdown on businesses running without valid licences, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on Tuesday sealed three business establishments at GS Road, Ulubari, near the old ASTC stop.

Moon Light Beauty Parlour was found operating with an invalid trade licence, in unhygienic conditions, and without other mandatory documents. Similarly, A R Beauty Parlour and Spa was sealed for unhygienic premises and the absence of valid trade licences and other necessary approvals. Both actions were carried out in the presence of Assistant Commissioner Trishanu Bora.

In a separate inspection, GMC also shut down Rubik Tattoo Centre at GS Road, Ulubari, for operating without a trade licence.

The civic body reiterated its warning to all commercial establishments to maintain proper documentation and hygiene standards to avoid punitive measures.
