Guwahati: Heroin, illicit liquor seized in city

Guwahati: A team from Gorchuk Police Station apprehended a suspect riding a TVS Ntorq scooter in the Ahomgaon area. The team recovered four plastic vials and a red container containing heroin, seven stolen Android mobile phones, and Rs 9,830 in cash. The accused, Mizanur Ali (28) of Bhella, Barpeta, was caught on the spot. Legal action has been initiated. Another team from Sonapur Police Station busted a hideout used for the sale of illicit liquor at Morogdola. The team seized Indian-Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from the spot. Legal proceedings have been initiated.
