Guwahati: Jalukbari Police Rescues Minor Girl from Tamil Nadu

GUWAHATI: A team of police from Jalukbari outpost under the West Guwahati Police District (WGPD) rescued a minor girl who had eloped with a minor boy.

According to the police, the minor boy kept his Islamic identity in the dark and faked his title as ‘Barman’ to win over the girl. 

The police rescued the minor girl on their return from Tamil Nadu. The police handed over the girl to her guardian.  The court has sent the boy to the observation home in Boko.
