Guwahati: Kamrup (M) schools to continue with rescheduled timings

Guwahati: In response to the ongoing heatwave conditions across the state, the government has decided to extend the implementation of rescheduled school timings in Kamrup (M) until further notice.

The decision was confirmed through an official notification issued by the Office of the District Elementary Education Officer Dipika Choudhury who is also Inspector of School (IS), Kamrup (M). The directive refers to a previous order dated June 10, 2025, which had initially revised the school timings in view of extreme weather conditions.

The notice stated, “With reference to the subject cited above and as per the order issued earlier... I would like to inform all that the rescheduled school timing will remain in force until further order.” The rescheduled timing were for Lower Primary (LP) schools 7.30 am to 11.30 am, for ME schools 7.30 am to 12 pm and for high school 7.30 am to 12.30 pm.
