Guwahati: Man found dead in his flat, investigation underway

Guwahati: In a shocking incident, Manish Lahkar, an engineer, was found dead in his flat at Protect Apartment in Kahilipara on Wednesday morning. Initial reports suggest it to be a case of suicide.

The matter came to light when a young woman, who had a spare key to the flat, discovered Manish's lifeless body and informed his family. The woman is currently being questioned by police.

According to sources, although Manish originally from Ulubari had been married for five years, he was reportedly estranged from his wife.

Bhagadattapur Police arrived at the scene and recovered the body. An investigation is underway to determine the exact circumstances and reasons behind the death. The motive remains unclear at this point.
