GUWAHATI: A 50-year-old man was tragically killed in a road accident at 6:10 am today near the Six Mile flyover, as per eyewitnesses. Reports claim that two fast-moving dumpers lost control and hit the victim while he was trying to cross the road, resulting in his death. The dumpers were coming from the Khanapara side at a speed of 120 to 130 kilometers per hour.

Despite signaling the approaching vehicles, none of them stopped or reduced their speed until one of the dumpers ran over the victim, mercilessly killing him. The impact from the collision was so severe that it ripped the victim's body into various parts that remained scattered all over the road.

Surprisingly, the Dispur police did not show up at the scene even an hour after the accident. The authorities are yet to identify the deceased person or the vehicle that fled after killing the person even though hours have passed.

A local resident believes that the dumpers were driving in an unsafe manner, as the drivers might have been under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Although a CCTV camera was placed close to the scene of the collision, no significant footage has been recovered.
