Guwahati: Man rescued from open manhole near Basistha Chariali

Guwahati:  Police personnel from Basistha Police Station, along with the help of a few alert citizens, successfully rescued a man whose leg had gotten dangerously trapped in an open manhole near Basistha Chariali on Tuesday.

The situation, which could have turned fatal, was quickly brought under control by Sub-Inspector Jishu Janakya Gogoi of Basistha PS and Lance Naik Sahadev Biswas of Basistha Traffic Branch.
