Guwahati: Minor apprehended for theft in city

GUWAHATI: Dispur PS apprehended a Child in Conflict with the Law (CCL) from Dhemaji near an under-construction building in Khanapara. According to police, the minor, who had fled in Bhugpur Satra, Titabor, was found to be in possession of stolen items, including Rs 29,153 in cash, three gold rings, a small gold belpat, and pieces of silver and copper.

The investigation revealed that the minor had stolen the items from Bhugpur Satra, Titabor, before fleeing his home. The motive behind the theft was reportedly his failure in Class X. The Dispur PS, in coordination with Titabor Police Station, is working to further investigate the matter.
