Guwahati: MWCD organizes Technical Training Programme at Assam Administrative Staff College

GUWAHATI: The Ministry of Women and Child Development (MWCD) successfully conducted a two-day technical training programme for master trainers on the Mission Vatsalya Portal. The event took place from March 21 to March 22, 2025, at the Assam Administrative Staff College in Guwahati.

The programme was inaugurated by Timothy Dkhar, Scientist G and HOG NIC, along with other dignitaries. A total of 83 stakeholders from nine states, including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, and West Bengal, attended the programme.

The participants received hands-on training and practical exposure to the Mission Vatsalya Portal, a unified online platform for child protection services. The portal provides a centralized database of vulnerable children, their progressive details, and digital workflows for stakeholders working towards their care, protection, and development. The sessions were handled by the MWCD and NIC team, and Ms Preeti Pant, Joint Secretary, Child Welfare, MWCD, interacted with the participants through video conferencing.
