GUWAHATI: A pipeline valve leakage in Athgaon has caused minor waterlogging on the streets, disrupting daily activities in the area and raising concerns among residents. The issue surfaced on Thursday, disrupting daily activities in the area. According to a local resident, “The leakage started today and led to the accumulation of water on the street,” a resident said.

An official from the Guwahati Jal Board (GJB) explained that the problem stems from the absence of an air valve over the existing sluice valve. The official stated, “We are working on it, and instructions have been given.” The authorities are actively addressing the issue to prevent further inconvenience to the public. Residents hope for a prompt resolution to restore normalcy in the area. The swift response from the authorities is expected to mitigate the impact of the leakage and ensure that daily life in Athgaon returns to normal soon.
