GUWAHATI: Pratishruti Foundation, a prominent socio-cultural organization, is set to host a classical music concert titled Jalsa on the occasion of its foundation day on July 19. The event will take place at Vivekananda Kendra Institute of Culture, Uzanbazar, from 5:30 pm onwards. Organized in association with ICCR Zonal Office, Star Cement, and SBI, the concert will feature a range of classical performances. Renowned Hindustani classical vocalist Dr. Rabindra Bharali, Associate Professor at Tripura University, will headline the event. He will be joined by rising tabla artiste Prantik Phukan for a solo recital, B-High grade violinist Sanjukta Phukan, a disciple of Pandit Biswajit Roychudhury, and devotional music group RiyajZone from Guwahati. As part of the celebrations, Pratishruti Foundation will also felicitate noted artiste and principal of Sadhana Sangeet Mahavidyalaya, Simla, Jogen Das of Baksa district, for his contribution to classical music and education.
