
Guwahati: The audio-visual rendition of a new Assamese romantic composition titled ‘Fagun Bolise’ was officially launched on Tuesday at Lahar Digital Studio in Guwahati. The event witnessed the presence of renowned personalities from the music and cultural fraternity, including music director Manash Hazarika, singer Saju, video director and editor Tiraap Simanta Medhi, singer and composer Surabhi Sonmoni, vocalist Rupam Bhuyan, and cultural activist Mridul Hazarika, among others.
Following the positive reception of “Eti Eti Kotha” on YouTube, Surabhi Sonmoni Hazarika has released ‘Fagun Bolise’, an evocative romantic song inspired by the essence of the Assamese spring season—Fagun. Known for symbolising renewal and love, the month of Fagun evokes deep emotions, echoed in the lyrics and composition of the song.
Written and composed by Surabhi Sonmoni herself, the song features a soulful duet with celebrated singer Rupam Bhuyan. The musical direction is helmed by Palash Surya Gogoi, adding depth and emotional resonance to the lyrics. The video, directed and edited by Tiraap Simanta Medhi, has been shot by Amlan Jyoti Rajkhowa, capturing the vibrant visuals that complement the theme of enduring love. Actors Amit Kumar Borah and Priyam Pallabee play central roles in enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the video, stated a press release.
