Guwahati: Six arrested for stunts atop moving cars in city

GUWAHATI: A team from Guwahati Traffic Police has apprehended six individuals for performing dangerous stunts atop moving cars on the elevated corridor bridge near the Brahmaputra.

The act, which posed a serious threat to public safety, was captured on video and swiftly acted upon by authorities. The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Pinku Ali (22) of Dharapur and Md Akib Javed (21), Md Riaz Ahmed (20), Md Ashik Ali (25), Md Akib Ali (21), and Md Sahid Ali (20) — all residents of Garigaon.

Investigations revealed that the vehicles used in the stunt were rented from travel agencies based in Six Mile and Uzanbazar. Both the cars have been seized.
