GUWAHATI: The Finance Department, Assam, sought detailed information of the employees who joined government services on or after February 1, 2005, but whose recruitment process for their posts was started prior to February 1, 2005.

The Finance Department has sought this in detail from all administrative departments.

The information sought includes the names of employees and their departments, the date of floating advertisements for their recruitments, the date of appointment and joining with appointment letters, the date of recruitments, the difference between dates of recruitment and dates of appointment and dates of retirements, etc.

Earlier, the government had a discussion with the SAKP on the restoration of the old pension scheme for employees who joined government services on or after February 1, 2005, but their recruitment process for their posts was started prior to February 1, 2005.

The government later decided to restore OPS as decided with the SAKP.
