Guwahati: Stolen cow recovered at Khanapara

Guwahati: In a swift operation, a team from Basistha Police Station intercepted a car (AS14N938) near the Science Museum checkpoint at Khanapara and uncovered a cow being smuggled under a tarpaulin.

Upon inspection, officers found the animal hidden in the vehicle in a distressed state. The tag on the cow led police to its rightful owner, who confirmed that the cow had been stolen from Mukalmua the previous night.

A case of cattle theft and illegal transportation has been registered, and further investigation is on.
