Guwahati: Thieves arrested in city

GUWAHATI: A team from Dispur PS arrested Chandra Jyoti Chetia of Six Mile in connection with an armed robbery. An air pistol, a holster and a scooty (AS01FF2202) have been seized from his possession. According to police, the accused, along with other accomplices, had earlier robbed a shop at gunpoint in the Six Mile area. Acting on a tip-off from a custody interrogation, a team from Basistha PS arrested a person named Bikash Adhikari (29) from Belguri, Khanapara. Police seized a Hero Maestro scooter (AS01DN1062). Legal action has been initiated.
