GUWAHATI: To ensure a smooth and safe experience for spectators attending the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 matches at the Assam Cricket Association Stadium in Barsapara, Guwahati, the authorities have imposed certain traffic restrictions on March 26 and 30.
Commercial goods-carrying vehicles and slow-moving vehicles will not be allowed on certain roads, including G.S. Road, B.K. Kakati Road, and A.K. Azad Road, from 2 pm to 12 midnight. A.K. Azad Road will be one-way from Lalganesh Tiniali to Cycle Factory Tiniali from 3 pm onwards. Only vehicles with car passes will be allowed to ply from Lalganesh Tiniali towards Cycle Factory Tiniali from 4:30 pm onwards.
For parking and diversion, vehicles without car passes coming from Lokhra Chariali towards Arya Nagar side will be diverted at Lalganesh Tiniali point towards Hayat Hospital, Kahilipara road. Parking will not be allowed on certain roads, including Kula Basumatary Road and A.K. Dev Road. Designated parking areas have been allocated, including Champabati Field, Ganeshpara Field, and Datalpara Field.
For entry gates and emergency vehicles, there will be six entry gates for spectators, including Gate No. 1A for teams and PMOA and Gate No. 1B for car pass holders and commentators. Emergency vehicles, such as fire tenders, ambulances, and school buses, will be allowed to move freely.
The authorities have taken these measures to ensure the safety and convenience of spectators attending the IPL 2025 matches in Guwahati.
