Guwahati: Woman drug peddler apprehended in city

GUWAHATI: Police arrested a 45-year-old woman on charges of drug peddling following a raid near the 2 No. Railway Gate at Lakhtokia in Guwahati. Acting on specific intelligence, a team from Panbazar Police Station carried out the operation and apprehended Saira Banu, a resident of Ulubari. During the raid, the police recovered 20 vials containing heroin, weighing a total of 27.3 grams. The seized contraband was taken into custody as part of the investigation.
