Guwahati: Youth held with heroin in city

GUWAHATI: Police arrested a 20-year-old man with heroin during a raid near the 2 No. Railway Gate area in Guwahati. Acting on specific intelligence, a team from the Fancy Bazar Outpost under Panbazar Police Station carried out the operation and apprehended Akash Acharjya, a resident of Hojai. During the search, the police recovered six vials containing heroin, with a total weight of 9.3 grams. The seized contraband was taken into custody as evidence.
