GUWAHATI: Indian Oil recently introduced a new look rust-free light weight 10 KG cylinder with many other unique features branded as ‘Composite Cylinder’ in Guwahati and also in all the state capitals of the Northeast.

In this connection, a team of Indian Oil officials along with the proprietor of M/S Sankardev Gas Agency, Six Mile visited the residence of noted Assamese film actor Pranjal Saikia at Chasal, Guwahati and handed him over a 10 kg composite cylinder connection from Indian Oil.

Unlike conventional Steel LPG Cylinder, composite cylinder is a three-layered construction made up of a blow-moulded inner liner (HDPE), covered with composite layer of polymer-wrapped fiber glass and fitted with a HDPE outer jacket. The weight of this unique cylinder called composite cylinder is almost half of that conventional steel cylinder and as such homemakers can easily handle it.
