ISS is a ploy for Islamistan: Hindu Yuba Chatra Parishad, Asom (HYCPA)

GUWAHATI: The Hindu Yuba Chatra Parishad, Asom (HYCPA) has said that the formation of the Islamic Sahitya Sabha (ISS) in Assam is actually a step towards the formation of ‘Islamistan’ in Assam.

Addressing a press meet at Guwahati Press Club on Friday, HYCPA central committee president Balen Baishya said, “Literature is literature. We can’t term it as Hindu literature or Islamic literature. However, what is happening now is a conspiracy to form an Islamic country.”

Baishya further said that the movement going on against the CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) bears no meaning and there is no possibility of the agitation bringing any fruitful result. “The only way towards a fruitful result is to keep faith on the judicial procedure. The court has no room for emotion,” he said.

“We’re totally against vandalism and the bandh culture in the name of protest. We doubt that an unseen force is indulging in Islamic fundamentalism in the State, and this force was behind the recent vandalism during the anti-CAA protest,” Baishya added.
