GUWAHATI: The Hindu Yuva-Chattra Parishad:Asom (HYCPA) slammed the Central government for playing a very inactive role in controlling the Jihadi issue in the State.

Addressing a press meet here at Guwahati Club on Wednessday, the president of HYCPA Balen Baishya said that HYCPA submitted a memorandum to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh appealing him to conduct a drive at the places having majority of doubtful people and requesting to form a special task force comprising Hindu youth. The Parishad claimed that if their memorandum would have taken in a serious manner at that very time, then possibly such a circumstance would never happen. The Parishad further claimed that if the Jamatul Mujahiddin Jihadis have entered Assam with a revengeful target then everyone who have been speaking for the sake of Rohingiyas should be marked as overground Jihadi and they should be interrogated. Baishya also said that it is unfortunate for the people of Assam, if it is true that many terrorist organizations has opened bank accounts in the State as claimed by Yogesh Chander Modi.
