GUWAHATI: On the occasion of World Population Day 2023, the Jansankhya Samadhan Foundation (JSF) of Assam submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister seeking implementation of a Population Control Act. President Pankaj Talukdar also released their plan of action for the coming months and handed over the memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner of the Kamrup (metro) district to be forwarded to the Prime Minister.

He announced that the members of the organization from all over the country would collect signatures of Indian citizens from across the State and that they would assemble near the Delhi-Gaziabad border on September 22. From there, the members will move to the PM’s office at 8 AM on September 23 and hand over the signatures officially to prevent a possible civil war in the country because of the population imbalance.

The organization has been undertaking their campaign in 400 districts across 23 states of the country. He also mentioned that the campaign has the support of 125 MPs.
