Kamakhya Devalaya doors closed for devotees

GUWAHATI: Like every year, this year too Ambubachi Mahayog will be held at Kamakhya Devalaya from June 22 to June 26. However, unlike previous years, this year the devotees, sadhus and sanyasis will not be allowed to enter the Kamakhya Devalaya or the nearby places and all the entrances will be closed.

Timing of Ambubachi Prabritti on June 22 is 07:53:15 am and Nibritti on June 25 is 08:16:55 pm.

The Ambubachi Mahayog is one of the most important religious congregations in the Northeast. It occupies a significant place from the tourism point of view also. But due to the pandemic, the Kamakhya Develaya Management has appealed to the general public to refrain from entering the Devalaya premises during the Mahayog.
