PALASBARI: As part of its ongoing commitment to ‘Going the Extra Miles for Services’ (GEMS), the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (LGBIA) in Guwahati organized a productive Chai pe Charcha session with taxi drivers at the airport on Friday.
The session aimed to align the taxi drivers with the vision of the new Integrated Terminal Building (NITB) and the overall development of the airport, fostering a sense of collective growth. Key areas discussed during the session included zero cash transactions and digitalization, self-grooming and cleanliness, and ‘greet, smile, and thank you’ (GST), highlighting the importance of a simple greeting, smile, and polite thank you in enhancing passenger satisfaction.
The interactive session concluded on a positive note, with taxi drivers expressing their eagerness for the upcoming improvements and feeling involved in the airport’s growth.
“We are committed to providing exceptional services to our passengers, and our taxi drivers play a vital role in this endeavour,” said a Guwahati International Airport Limited (GIAL) spokesperson. “We look forward to continuing such interactive sessions to strengthen our collective efforts and achieve greater success for everyone involved,” the spokesperson further added.
