Man Caught With Heroin in Kharghuli Anti Drugs Operation

 Guwahati: In an anti-narcotics operation carried out at Kharghuli Hatishil, a team from the City Guwahati Police Department (CGPD) under Latasil Police Station apprehended one person with suspected heroin and other items.

The arrested person has been identified as Rajdeep Chungkrang, a resident of Khanapara Debanagar.

Police recovered two packets of heroin, weighing 10.82 grams and 11.74 grams, along with ₹1,150 in cash and an Activa scooty that had a broken number plate.

The operation was part of the police’s continued efforts to crack down on drug trafficking in the city.

A police official confirmed, “We are investigating the source of the drugs and any possible links to a larger network.”

Rajdeep Chungkrang is currently in custody, and further legal action is being taken as per the NDPS Act.
