Meda Ali Saikia Educational Foundation awards to be presented in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Meda Ali Saikia Educational Foundation, a leading social and educational institution in Assam, will present the Pragya Ratna Awards 2025 to several distinguished personalities of Assam.

The awards will be presented on September 21, 2025 at the Rukmini Nagar Hall in Guwahati. The awards will be presented to prominent educationist Dr. Dayanand Pathak and prominent singer Dwipen Barua for their outstanding contribution in their respective fields. The 'Distinguished Administrative Award' will be presented to IPS officer Manbendra Dev Ray and the 'Distinguished Journalist Award' (Print Media) and Distinguished Journalist will be presented to Achyut Kumar Patwari, Executive Editor of Assamese Pratidin newspaper for his outstanding contribution in the field of journalism, and Dr. Kumud Das will be presented with the 'Distinguished Journalist Award' (Electronic Media). An  award will also be presented to Hemen Kalita, a prominent social activist and green activist and the 'Krishak Baibhav Award' to Bipul Haloi, and others, a press release said.
