NDRF conducts awareness event on coronavirus in Aizawl

GUWAHATI: A NDRF team led by Dr. Dining Rongmei, GDMO, 1st Battalion NDRF, along with one officer, paramedic staff and NDRF rescuers organized an awareness program on coronavirus at Lungpui Airport in Aizawl. The subjects which were covered during the awareness program were symptoms and complications, prevention, the transmission of coronavirus and use of personal protective equipment, face mask, etc, stated a press release.

Chief Security Officer of the airport, CRPF personnel, the Mizoram police, and airport staff attended the program.

During the awareness program, Dr. Dining highlighted the symptoms and precautions of the disease. He advised avoiding close contact with people who are sick, not touching one's eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands and to cover one's face while coughing or sneezing.
