GUWAHATI: The North Eastern Hydraulic and Allied Research Institute (NEHARI), Brahmaputra Board, in collaboration with the National Water Academy (NWA), Pune, conducted a four-day training workshop on “E-Procurement and GeM” from August 18 to 21. The workshop was organised as part of the three-month capacity-building campaign being conducted from August 17 to November 16 as a prelude to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026, with emphasis on integrity, transparency and ethical practices. NEHARI Director Dr Ranjit Deka inaugurated the programme in the presence of NWA Director Ankit Dudeja. The training covered government procurement rules, the General Financial Rules, CVC guidelines, tendering procedures, bid evaluation, GeM and CPP portal operations, PFMS and contract management. Resource persons from the Central Water Commission and NWA conducted lectures and practical sessions. The programme concluded with a valedictory session attended by CWC officials.
