

GUWAHATI: Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is set to visit Assam today, April 2, for a packed one-day schedule that includes two public election rallies — one in Karbi Anglong and one in Jorhat district.
The visit marks a significant push by the Congress ahead of the Assam assembly elections, with Gandhi addressing voters across two politically important regions of the state.

Gandhi will depart Delhi by special flight in the morning, landing at Dimapur Airport. From there, he will travel by helicopter to Bokajan in Karbi Anglong district for his first rally.
After wrapping up in Bokajan, Gandhi will head to Titabor in Jorhat district for an afternoon public meeting, where he is expected to speak directly to voters of Upper Assam.
Once the Titabor rally concludes, Gandhi is scheduled to fly back to Delhi from Jorhat airport by special flight, rounding off his one-day visit to the state.
