GUWAHATI: The resignation of senior Congress leaders now seems to be a trend. The vice chairman of Teachers’ Cell of Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC), Dr. Ranjit Deka declared his resignation from the said position and also from his primary membership of the party. Addressing the media on Tuesday, Deka made his statement that he has taken the decision of resigning for some personal reasons and concentrating on his educational institute Anundoram Borooah is one of them. Deka said, “I have no personal grudge on the party and I always pray for well being of the party. The reason that I’ve taken the decision to resign is that I am feel ineligible for the works of the party and I do not have the ability to work any further that can be beneficial for the party. I do not have any other political intention and I am not going to join any other political party. We can do a lot of things for the society without being indulged in the political field. So far as the future of the party is concerned, I think there’s hope, if the party succeeds in attaining the trust of the public.”
