Retired Indian Forest Service officer Partha Sarathi Das no more

GUWAHATI: Partha Sarathi Das, a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer and a resident of Rukminigaon here, passed away on Saturday at his residence after a brief illness. He was 69.

Before retiring as Principal of the Central Academy for State Forest Service at Byrnihat, Das had served the Assam Forest Department in various capacities. He was best known for his straightforwardness and helpful attitude. He leaves behind his wife and a daughter.
