Rice Knowledge Bank website launched under APART in Guwahati

The website of Rice Knowledge Bank was launched by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Assam Agricultural University (AAU) under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) in Guwahati on Wednesday.

GUWAHATI: The website of Rice Knowledge Bank was launched by International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) and Assam Agricultural University (AAU) under Assam Agribusiness and Rural Transformation Project (APART) in Guwahati on Wednesday. The website was launched by Agricultural Commissioner (production) Rajesh Prasad.

Addressing the people, Prasad expressed his belief that this website will be able to carry various information related to Agricultural to the farmers of the State. The website will be available for the farmers in English and Assamese language. It will include various informative topics related to farming and farmers can also submit their farming related queries. It will also include research facts of IRRI and Assam Agricultural University.

During the programme, a rice production manual, 15 informative booklets, booklets on climate resistance paddy were also released.
