Satgaon police arrested three land mafia in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: The Satgaon police has arrested three persons for their involvement in illegal activities relating to land acquirement in the city.

The three land mafia, who have been arrested in connection with an FIR lodged by one Chinmoy Neog, have been identified as Latif Ali (60) of Millijulli Path in Satgaon, Dr Jamirul Islam (45) of Ambari in Satgaon and Rabiul Ali (51) Ambari in Satgaon.

According to police sources, the FIR lodged by Neog stated that on the basis of a detailed enquiry report submitted by the Circle officer (A) of Chandrapur Revenue Circle, it was found that the three accused persons registered a sale deed with false affidavit and thereby captured a plot of land, blocking the public road.

A case was registered at the Satgaon Police Station (No. 40/2022 u/s:120(B)/420/467/468/471/506 IPC) and the three land mafia were arrested.
