SEBA declares rules for 'Special Examination'

GUWAHATI: The SEBA (Board of Secondary Education, Assam) will be conducting a special examination for the "not satisfied" candidates with the results published on July 30 of the HSLC/AHM (Higher School Leaving Certificate/Assam High Madrassa)-2021 examination. The Board has called for applications for them via the portal https://sebaonline.org from August 5 to August 12, 2021.

The Board also stated in its notification on Thursday that "the date of Special Examination will be notified in due course of time".

The SEBA added, "Candidates appearing in the 'Special Examination' will have to appear in theory portion of all the six papers, wherein their IA (Internal Assessment) Marks and Practical Marks will be considered from the existing data which are already provided to SEBA by the Centres concerned.

"If a candidate has already failed in the IA or Practical Examination, then he/she will not be benefited by appearing in the 'Special Examination'. As such they may appear in the next HSLC/AHM Examination to be conducted in 2022."

The Board also added, "For those candidate who will appear in the 'Special Examination', the electronic Marks Sheet already provided based on the data of the 'School Evaluation Committee' will stand cancelled; and, a new Marks Sheet will be provided to those candidates based on the marks obtained in the 'Special Examination'.
