GUWAHATI: In order to compensate the losses of the students who have desired prospective results in the Higher Secondary examination, now the students can opt for a betterment.

As per the Higher Secondary Education Council of Assam, it has announced that the students who are dissatisfied with their latest results can reappear for exams.

According to reports, it has been informed that the form filling for re-appearing of HS examination will start from August 9 and last till August 16.

How to Re-appear for HS Exams in Assam?

Those students who are interested and willing to re-appear in the exams will get detailed information from their respective educational institutions.

A new assessment-based mark sheet will be given to the students appearing in the HS examinations once again.

The students will have to submit their current mark sheets if they are to re-appear the HS examination.

Notably, as per the evaluation criteria, for students of class 12 who also had practical exams, 50 percent of the total marks would be provided based on the best of three subjects of class 10, 30 percent from class 12 practicals, 10 percent based on internal assessment and attendance in class 11, and class 12. The remaining 10 percent will be calculated based on the overall marks.

Class 12 students of Arts and Commerce (who do not have practicals), will get 50 percent of their marks from the best of three subjects in class 10, 40 percent based on internal assessment in class 11 and class 12, and an additional 10 percent to be marked by AHSEC.

This year, approximately 7 lakh students registered to appear for the board exams this year, out of which 2.5 lakh students were of HS final year and the remaining are for HSLC and AHM.
